Keep Badarpur Power Plant Shut EPCA To Delhi Govt
NEW DELHI .The Supreme Court-empowered EPCA today asked the Delhi government to ensure that the Badarpur thermal power plant, a major source of air pollution in the city, continues to remain shut.
We want the plant to remain shut, especially since there is no power crisis in the city. Keeping it shut has helped considerably in keeping pollution in check. There is no need to run it," EPCA Chairman Bhure Lal said. At the last meeting, EPCA member Sunita Narain had directed the Delhi government to take steps to transport the flyash at the plant using special container. Millennium post
